We are currently accepting resumes for the position of Project Administrator based in Cold Lake.  This is a 7 month (approx.) duration with the contact ending September 2018.  LOA is provided with proof of residency.

Summary of Role

 

The Project Administrator provides accurate and timely administrative and accounting functions for all jobs from set-up to completion.  This position will work closely with both the Accounting and Operations divisions of the organization.

 

 Responsibilities and Expectations:

 

 

  • Understand Tartan’s safety management system, policies, procedures and values;
  • Provide accurate and timely cost/revenue tracking for assigned jobs
  • Support accurate job set-up and completion procedures
  • Complete data entry of employee and equipment time in job and accounting software programs, with proper allocation to applicable cost codes.
  • Issue, distribute, and track progress of work tickets provided to customer for signing
  • Generate and distribute invoices from signed work tickets and in accordance with specific customer requirements.
  • Receive and match purchase orders with third party invoices and provide to A/P for processing and payment
  • Provide monthly and weekly reporting as required by operations management
  • File and maintain all relevant job related documentation and job binders
  • Prepare and send routine and job-specific correspondence, internally and externally
  • General administrative responsibilities as required

Qualifications

 

  • A minimum of three to five years relevant experience in a Project and or Cost Administration
  • Relevant post-secondary training in accounting, and/or experience in associated accounting functions such as A/R, A/P, payroll and time/equipment entry
  • Fundamental knowledge of labour/ payroll standards
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office,
  • Experience in DTS, SAP and eSES an asset
  • Previous experience in heavy oil and / or gas industry would be considered an asset
  • Valid H2S Alive ticket is mandatory for site access
  • Valid CSTS
  • Valid Standard First aid ticket is mandatory for site access
  • Valid driver’s license (with abstract required)
